At Sanatorium Helios, we consider quality and safety to be the base for our provided care. To be able to provide top-rated service to our patients we have our work regularly  assessed by independent professional authorities in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Sanatorium Helios as a whole is certified to the international ISO 9001 standard by TÜV SÜD. This certification confirms that we have an effective quality management system, we ensure the safety of the care we provide and we evaluate feedback from our patients regularly. We are also committed to continuous improvement of all processes and services.

Our centre includes two top-rated laboratories: the IVF Laboratory and the Clinical Genetics Laboratory, both accredited by the Český institut pro akreditaci (ČIA) in accordance with ISO 12189. This accreditation represents the highest level of quality recognition for medical laboratories. It’s proof that our laboratories follow the strict international standards, deliver reliable and accurate results, employ appropriately qualified staff, and laboratories use top-rate technology and methods. Each step from sampling to publishing results lies under independent control.

Together, these standards increase efficiency, reduce risks and ensure a high level of patient safety. All processes are audited regularly, approximately once a year.

In the Czech Republic, Sanatorium Helios is exceptional in the scope of its accredited laboratory examinations. We are the only facility that provides accredited testing in embryology, andrology and clinical genetics at the same time. By comparison: There exists only one other laboratory with accreditation in the field of embryology and andrology and five other in the field of andrology and genetics in the Czech Republic

Apart from classic accreditations we hold the international GCR( Global Clinic Ranking) which compares health care facilities worldwide. It considers staff expertise, technological equipment, the scope and quality of services, and patients experience. Thanks in part to our high GCR score, we rank among leading reproductive centres not just in Europe.

Sanatorium Helios is an accredited training centre for the follow-up specialisation in Reproductive Medicine. This accreditation confirms that we follow the high requirements of the Czech Ministry of Health for professional training and practice, and that we contribute to the professional development of both current and future physicians.

Since 2002, we have been the exclusive holder of the license from the Australian company Genea (formerly Sydney IVF) for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This allows us to use the most modern culture media Genea Biomedx and unique devices Geri and Gavi. Together, we participate in the development of new IVF and PGT technologies that further increase treatment success rates and the quality of embryology care at our centre.
